Hemp has been eaten by humans across the world for thousands of years. The shells of the seeds are quite bitter and gritty, so if you are eating them, we advise soaking them first and adding to salads or raw recipes like burgers and crackers.

We love making hemp milk with them – simply soak 2-4 tbsp seeds, blend up with a litre of water and strain. This makes a very tasty, very economical dairy-free alternative to cow’s milk.
You can also grow greens with them – plant the seeds in some potting soil and after a week you will have delicious edible indoor greens to add to your salads.
Add them to cracker recipes, or soak them and add them into a salad for extra crunch.
