Goji Berries

Goji berries come from China and are also known as wolfberries. Once you have discovered them you will be adding them to everything! Like bright red raisins, they are not too sweet and have a taste reminiscent of bubble gum.

Reputed to increase longevity, they are one of the richest sources of vitamin C on the planet - a handful when you are getting a cold can be just what you need - and probably the richest source of beta-carotene. They contain all of the essential amino acids, as well as B vitamins, trace minerals and polysaccharides. Polysaccharides have been found to fortify the immune system. They are very rich in lycium, which can help with weight loss.

They taste so good, you can just eat them by the handful - to me it's like eating sunshine, they make me feel happy and relaxed. Or try them in our trail mix with cacao.

Recommended dosage: you can't eat too many gojis, they are just too lovely! Eat as many as your budget will allow...I have heard that the only side effect from eating goji berries is laughing too much!
