Kelp noodles (340g) is available for purchase in increments of 1
Kelp noodles look and taste like Chinese glass noodles. They come in the same little plastic pouches, which you just snip open and they are ready to eat. Although they are pretty tasteless as they are, they are transformed by any of your favourite raw dressings - from plain hemp oil and tamari, to pesto, tomato sauce, or mayonnaise.

They are one of those heavenly foods that are so much fun to eat, you can't believe they score high in the nutrition department as well.

Kelp noodles are made in the USA. One packet contains two good servings.

Sea Tangle says, "We use sun-dried kelp minus the green outer layer, which is a skin. What is left is white and looks very much like our noodles. The dried kelp is made into a powder, which is then added to water and sodium alginate, and then made into the noodles. No heat is used in the process of making the noodles."

Kelp Noodles are a sea vegetable in the form of an easy to eat raw noodle. Made of only kelp (a sea vegetable), sodium alginate (sodium salt extracted from a brown seaweed), and water, Kelp Noodles are fat-free, gluten-free, and very low in carbohydrates and calories. Their noodle form and neutral taste allow for a variety of uses including salads and soups, while their healthful content provides a rich source of trace minerals including iodine, which kelp is well known for. Their unique texture completes the package, making Kelp Noodles a one-of-a-kind healthful and tasty alternative to pasta and rice noodles.

Best of all, no cooking is required. Just rinse and add the noodles to any dish and they are ready to eat!

There's a recipe for Thailicious Kelp Noodles here. Try them in a tomato sauce like this one for SuperSexy Curry, or in a creamy sauce as they are in our free Raw Living e-book.

There's even a free sample recipe video on Kate's Magic Bubble, where Kate shows you how to do them in both a tomato sauce and a creamy sauce.

  • Kelp Noodelicious

Kelp Noodles When I first got into raw, about two years ago now, I still remember the feelings of being overwhelmed at the minefield of new foods/ super foods and ingredients that I had never heard of in my life. I remember texting Kate to ask her what Engevita was.... It was a whole new way of life and living! I am sad to say that I was not brought up as a vegan or vegetarian, although, as I grew and was able to buy my own food and make my own choices in life my diet mainly consisted of pulses and vegetable, which I found I thrived on, albeit cooked. My raw adventure really began at a talk I attended by Kate M herself. Kate talked about the triangle of foods and the importance of » Read more on the blog

  • Pesto Power

Seggiano Raw Basil Pesto I wasn’t sure what to expect with this pesto because even pre-raw I was never keen on ready-made pasta sauce out of a jar.  Being vegan, Seggiano pesto doesn’t contain parmesan and it doesn’t contain garlic either (I thought they would put some in to make up for the lack of parmesan.)  So it was a delightful surprise to discover how intensely tasty this stuff is.  It has a deep, almost meaty punch of mellow flavour, in fact to me it reminds me of Bolognese sauce.  I don’t know how the makers manage to get so much flavour into such a simple set of ingredients.  I imagine the ingredients are seriously high quality. So for anyone who misses pasta, some of this p » Read more on the blog
