Naturally, our vanilla powder is the best, organic premium grade!
Vanilla is a fascinating plant, which involves special labour intensive methods of cultivation to get the benefits from its unmistakable aroma and flavour. It naturally pairs with chocolate – did you know vanilla is often planted with cacao on the plantations, as the two grow synergistically, the vanilla vine winding round the cacao tree? Vanilla comes from the orchid family, and it is the most popular natural flavouring on the planet!
Uses: we use vanilla powder in our raw chocolate recipes. Add a little to your smoothies or hot chocolate. Blend it into nut milks or chia puddings. The possibilities are endless! It’s very potent, a little goes a long way.
Storage: to preserve the exquisite fragrance of the vanilla, store it in an airtight bag or container. We double seal ours i.e. we put it in a resealable bag, and then put the bag in a container with an airtight lid.

Vanilla Hugs for Autumn Days
Vanilla Powder Autumn days are upon us again. Clear crisp mornings with bright blue skies and a chill in the air that tingles your cheeks, there is much to love about the changing season. As the mornings get cooler, I've started to add a few more warming ingredients into my morning smoothies, one of which is this delicious vanilla powder. I always remember as a child thinking that vanilla was the 'plain' flavour. Vanilla ice cream or mousse didn't really taste of much. What a surprise it was to discover in later years that vanilla is incredibly flavourful - rich, deep, aromatic and comforting, this is a spice you want to have in your cupboards, especially at this time of year. » Read more on the blog
Since my last post on vanilla the days have grown cooler and wetter and my thoughts have been turning more and more to nourishing foods that will build us up before winter comes. I've made these lovely and very simple cookies a couple of times which are perfect for eating around the fire with a steaming cup of Raw Living's Eterniteea tea blend or some hot ginger with a splash of elderberry syrup. I love oats as a nourishing food for the nervous system and was thrilled when Raw Living started selling the raw groats and rolled oats as they're hard to find elsewhere. As a root, Maca is grounding and nourishing and particularly beneficial at this time of year, while vanilla is warming an » Read more on the blog
