Superfoods - How Much Should I Take?

There are generally no set prescribed doses for superfoods. They are all natural plant foods with no known harmful side effects. As they are powerful foods, as a rule it is better to take less than more. Particularly where the high vibrational superfoods are concerned, we feel they work on a level similar to flower essences - there is no need to take high doses, it is more a question of getting the energy of the plant into your body.

Here are some recommended daily intakes. Adapt them to your body size and known sensitivity!

If the superfood you are wondering about isn't here, then it really doesn't matter, just be guided by what feels right to you.

Maca - start off dose 1/4 - 1 tsp.....Regular dose 1 tsp -1 tbsp

Barleygrass - 1 tsp - 1 tbsp a day

Spirulina - 1 tsp - 1 tbsp a day

Cacao - hmmm, a controversial one. Our personal feeling is, in the form of chocolate bars, up to 40-50 g a day is not overdoing it. That probably translates to 10-20 g cacao beans a day.

Camu - 1 tsp a day, especially if you're feeling under the weather

Ashwaganda, He shou Wu, Purple corn, Suma, Gingko, Muira Puama, Crystal Manna - 1/4 tsp - 1 tsp a day

Etheriums & Aulterra - 1/8 tsp a day

Blue manna - 1/4 - 1/2 tsp a day

What many people find, is once they have made the initial investment in purchasing these foods, they can last up to a year. Obviously, if you have specific health issues, sometimes it is advisable to take more of a particular food. But if you're in general good health, and consuming a wide variety of these foods along with a balanced diet, we don't see the need to take any more than the doses recommended here.
